Built in 1930 by the Hollar Hosiery Mills Company, The Crossing is bordered by Highland Avenue, 4th St SE, Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard and the Southern Railway and neighbors Lenoir-Rhyne University. The building is one of two well-preserved knitting mills remaining in Hickory, NC, and the space is a tribute to the town’s industrial history.
Featuring large, steel sash factory windows and high-ceilings with steel trusses, The Crossing’s full service event rental space includes over 10,000 square feet accommodating 350 seated guests and 600 guests at full capacity for future concerts and large scale events. The space boasts a 720-square-foot stage with state-of-the-art audio as well as a catering kitchen, beverage service, custom dance floor and restrooms. The space also features two meeting rooms.
